| Beware of MayBank Scam Email | MayBank Phishing Emails Posted: 15 Apr 2011 02:45 AM PDT  Recently, I received a few MayBank2U important emails which informed me that Maybank2u.com are performing a scheduled account maintenance. The email mentioned that my MayBank account was suspended and need to reactivate the account by clicking the link provided in the email. After looking at the provided link and pointing the mouse over the link, the actual URL was actually pointed to another website URL and not Maybank2u.com. Therefore, stay away from clicking the link and immediately report spam of the email. Below is the scam URL link: Beware of Bank Scam Phishing Emails Everyone please inform your friends and family members regarding this phishing bank email. If you have accidently click the URL link, do not login using your bank account and never disclose your TAC to anyone no matter what. How to Recognize and Avoid Phishing Emails? The simplest way to recognize a Phishing /Scam email is that real bank will never ask you to provide personal login ID, PIN or giving your password details via the email. Therefore, do not fall into the scammer's tricks. Secondly, always double checking the URL link before clicking it. By pointing the mouse over the link, you can see the true website URL. If you can't see the URL link, don't click the link. In my opinion, we are exposed to scam emails everyday and it's very hard to avoid from receiving them. Therefore, you need to be more alert and always search the scam email information from Search Engine such as Google or Yahoo. Related posts:
