*VIDEO* New Interview with Robert Pattinson from the Water for Elephants Premiere

Starts at 0:42

Our encounter with Robert Pattinson on the red carpet was short, but sweet. He was looking dashing per usual. When asked if there was one book he could bring to screen he replied, "I would love to do a remake of 'The Fountainhead,' but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon." When asked if he knows what he will get his co-star Reese Witherspoon for her wedding gift, he replied "no, not yet."

When asked how he went about preparing for the role of Jacob Jankowski, Robert Pattinson told reporters, "I was hanging out with the elephant a lot, Tai, and I watched a few documentaries, but really...I was working out in the dessert all the time, with the train and with the tent, so we just rehearsed out there and it was all a good feel everything."

Video: Pattinson and Pachyderms: Fox All Access Interviews Robert Pattinson

Thanks to his starring role in the "Twilight" movies, Robert Pattinson is one of the hottest actors in Hollywood.  But although he gave a good performance in the drama "Remember Me," it didn't perform as well as many thought it would have at the box office.  Will Pattinson's fans follow him aside from "Twilight"?  Will he be able to gain new fans from outside the "Twilight" universe?  We'll find out the answer this weekend.  Pattinson gives the best performance of his career in the movie "Water For Elephants," which opens this Friday.  Like "Twilight," the film is based on a best-selling novel, and Pattinson's terrific acting job is complemented by compelling performances from Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz.

When we spoke with Pattinson, he talked about working with his other co-star, Rosie the elephant; how he's feeling more comfortable as an actor; and how he will look back at the "Twilight" movies now that "Breaking Dawn" is almost ready to wrap.  Take a look at the video, and let us know if you're looking forward to seeing Pattinson in "Water For Elephants."

Robert Pattinson's Interview with MyFoxDetroit

Although Robert Pattinson is currently promoting Water for Elephants, Pattinson recently admitted in an interview with Fox News that he wants to do a movie in Detroit.

In a recent interview with MyFoxDetroit, Robert Pattinson mentioned that he's always wanted to film a movie in Detroit. Pattinson, who will also be seen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, stated that he was looking into doing something in the Motor City since it has a gritty quality that he likes. "There's something about the city. I like harsh." Robert Pattinson also admitted that Detroit "looks good, it's got a good look to it."

'Water For Elephants' Costume Reveals Her Favorite Robert Pattinson Look

From Hollywoodcrush:
For some of us it's the dashing tux, for others it's the daring leather jacket, but for "Water for Elephants" costume designer Jacqueline West, Robert Pattinson's best look in the upcoming film is without a doubt the working-man clothes his character dons right after joining the circus. This, of course, shouldn't come as too much of a surprise for those of you who have been following "WFE" news closely. After all, Jacqueline already admitted to us that she likes her RPattz "dirty and sweaty and dusty" (and really, who can blame her?!).

"I just loved him in the buckle back, 1930s Levi's with suspenders and the work shirt with boots, the bridges tucked in the boots," said Jacqueline. Oh, and speaking of the footwear, Rob's wearing authentic World War I boots in the movie.

Jacqueline said the look was one of her favorites because it revealed Rob's form (which is apparently a lot "manlier" than it seems in "Twilight").

"It showed his physique, yet it was so real and he looked so comfortable," she said.

Of course, the work clothes do more than flatter Rob's figure (so to speak). Jacqueline said they also give the audience some insight into his character's journey.

"It was a real transformation from his college look and it shows—there's a certain sadness that it evokes from being a vet graduating from Cornell and your future...and all of a sudden you're shoveling manure for a circus," she said. "It evokes a sadness of the depression and how many lives were altered because of Wall Street. There's something provocative about this time and yet it's such a modern look."

In fact, it's a look she anticipates will soon hit the runway.

"I think that work wear is going to become a real sign of the times," she said.

RPattz helping spark fashion trends? We knew it'd happen sooner or later.

Robert Pattinson's interview with 'Seventeen'

From Seventeen:

Your beloved Edward Cullen took a little break from Twilight last year to make Water for Elephants, an epic drama based on the bestselling Sara Gruen novel. That movie hits theaters on Friday, April 22 (who's seeing it at midnight?), so Rob and co-star Reese Witherspoon turned up at the New York premiere tonight, to talk about the movie and their characters. When we asked Rob what he found most attractive about Marlena (Reese's character, and the woman he falls in love with in the movie), here's what he had to say:

Rob Pattinson: "Just her energy. She's extremely charismatic. Especially for [my character] Jacob, being able to see that is amazing. He grew up in upstate New York on a farm, so you're not going to see that many superstars!"

PS, when we asked him whether he thought it was weird to play a character named Jacob, he said:

RP: "I didn't, until I was promoting the movie. Then I realized I'd set myself up for something!"

And PPS, he showed up at the premiere almost an hour early, so he could talk to all of the fans across the street, take pics with them, and sign autographs. Adorable.

*VIDEO* Hal Holbrook calls Robert Pattinson 'A modest young man'

From Fablife:
Have you seen Hal Holbrook in Into The Wild? His storyline is our favorite in that movie (don't worry, Kristen Stewart's #2) and he's a seasoned and spectacular actor. On Sunday he told us that his Water for Elephants co-star Robert Pattinson impressed him with his "manner" and called him a "modest young man." Everyone we've ever talked to about Pattinson has echoed Holbrook's sentiment, and the few times we've interviewed him we've noticed the same thing. Humble RPattz is humble!

Holbrook, who plays the older version of Rob's character in the movie, also marveled at how much he looks like a younger version of himself. His entire interview is very sweet – we love his thoughts on the megalomania of Hollywood, of which both he and Rob seem destined to avoid. Watch above.

Water for Elephants - Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon's On-Set Style

To play a circus performer in the big-screen adaptation of Water for Elephants, Reese Witherspoon had to transform her chic modern style into a believable retro look, something she couldn't have done without the expertise of wardrobe designer Jacqueline West."In the 1930s, gowns were very revealing, " says West. "The women of that era wore them without any underwear, so that's what Reese did. She was very brave." Witherspoon's co-star Robert Pattinson also got into character with his unmentionables. "He loved that I had authentic 1930s underwear for him," West remembers. "He said it helped transport him."

BONUS! Win a one-of-a-kind reproduction of the red gown Witherspoon's character wears! How to win the dress shown: Visit the InStyle Facebook page this Friday, April 22nd (the same day the movie hits theaters) at 3pm EST and be the first person to correctly answer a trivia question.

Robert Pattinson's Interview with Buzzine

It's the same interview from Criativa Magazine , just with some more new quotes (the Royal wedding and a couple more) and things are not "lost in translation" anymore

Emmanuel Itier: How was it with working all these wild animals, and has your conception of circuses changed while doing this movie in the sense of how they treat animals?
Robert Pattinson: I don't really know how circuses themselves treat animals. I know a lot of circuses get a bad name for it, but none of the animals we had were from circuses; they were all film animals and stuff. I know how hard it must be. It must be just ridiculous because it's relentless…because of the amount of injuries the animals get and stuff. For instance, with the horses -- to teach those horses the tricks that they needed to know, it took months and months and months and months. If one of them goes down, there's no back-up or anything. It's going to take another six months to train a horse. It's so precarious, running a circus so much. But working with wild animals, for me, was one of the things which I thought made the job easier. Even before we started, I was thinking it's like doing a job where you're just working with babies all the time, because the babies are going to do their own thing and you just react to the baby. I mean, if you've got an elephant in the scene and the elephant is kind of doing whatever it wants, it's so easy to play anything because you suddenly have a trunk in your face or something, and then you've got to just make something up. No one expects the scene to be totally perfect because everyone has accepted that these are wild animals, and whatever comes will come. It's not all like, "The animal's got to hit its mark!" It's never going to be like that. It made it very a relaxing set, in a weird sort of way.
